Even though many people think that chocolate is the only flavor
of fudge, there are many variations that have their own distinctive
tastes. Combining the two most complimentary flavors in the sweet
world, peanut butter fudge has quickly become a favorite, second
only to chocolate.
Making peanut butter fudge requires the following:
• 2 1/4 cups brown sugar
• 3 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
• 1/2 cup milk
• 3/4 cup peanut butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup butter
Melt butter in a saucepan and stir milk and brown sugar in and
bring it to a boil and stir frequently for 2 minutes. After removing
pan from the heat, stir in peanut butter and vanilla and then
pour over a large bowl containing confectioner’s sugar.
Beat until it loses its glossiness and then pour in an 8”x8”
dish. Chilling until firm will produce delicious peanut butter
fudge.
