Vanilla fudge

Most people think that vanilla fudge is actually the name of a psychedelic rock group from the late 60s, but many people actually prefer the taste of vanilla to chocolate. For those who aren’t chocolate fans, vanilla can be added to any batch of fudge to create an interesting alternative to the established chocolate candy.

Making vanilla fudge is easy. All you need is:
• 8 ounces butter
• 3 cups sugar
• 3/4 cup evaporated milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
• 5 cups confectioner's sugar

For a delicious batch of vanilla fudge just combine the milk, sugar and butter in a large bowl. Boil for exactly five minutes and then remove from heat. Add vanilla and confectioner’s sugar and mix using a beater until everything is consistent. Then, pour it all into a 7”x11” pan and let it cool.
